St. Timothy’s Lutheran and Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministry…are partners in mission!

IMG_2693Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministry (NeLCM) is blessed to be a new team member in the ministry of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church!  During worship services on July 22nd, together we celebrated and made the partnership official with the signing of a covenant for ministry.  Thank you to all at St. Timothy’s for providing a space and place for a home base….for our campus ministry serving metro Omaha. You can now find us in room 104, next to the prayer chapel.

“Omaha metro Lutheran Campus Ministry” is an great opportunity for faith building and friendship for young adults to check out.  The group for recent high school graduates and/or undergraduate students at any of the Omaha colleges or universities is called NeMO, which stands for Nebraska Metro Omaha campus ministry.  This group meets each week for a time of games, sharing, Bible study, planning, and food!  Some of the other things NeMO did last year was to worship together at various metro-area churches, spend a cold and windy night at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch, and make fleece blankets to be donated to Youth Emergency Services Search Facebook to find the group “NeMO” for our upcoming events.

The campus ministry group for people who have graduated college and are working in the area is called God & Grads and is composed of teachers, businessmen and women, and church volunteers.  God & Grads meets once a month for table games, food and faith-filled fellowship. Search Facebook to find the group “God & Grads” for upcoming events.

Omaha Metro Lutheran Campus Ministry is part of Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministry (NeLCM) and is staffed by part-time Lutheran Campus Pastor Jim Holthus.  He can be reached at lootrn@hotmail.com.  Thanks for your continuing prayers for the young adults in the Omaha area, for your continued encouragement of young adults to “check us out” and for the financial support given by individuals and the congregation which enables this ministry to continue!
