Evensong: A Celebration of Ministry with College Students in the Omaha Metro

You’re Invited!

On Sunday April 2nd, you are invited to Evensong: A Celebration of Ministry with College Students in the Omaha Metro at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 17007 “Q” Street. The event begins with a reception at 3:00 p.m. where you can enjoy the hospitality of students participating in this ministry and bid on Silent Auction Baskets donated by area congregations and friends of College Ministry. At 4:00 p.m. we will come together to worship with Evening Prayer. The service will feature special music from students and from a combined choir from area congregations. (Contact your choir director if you are NeLCM_Mug Frontinterested in participating in this combined choir. The Choir will practice during the reception from 3:13 to 3:45.) Following worship, we will announce the winners of the Silent Auction. All proceeds from this event will go to support college ministry in Omaha through NeLCM (Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministry), and will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous grant from the Immanuel Vision Foundation.

College ministry is growing in Omaha! In less than three years, we are already reaching over 50 students from Creighton, UNO, College of St. Mary, the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Metropolitan Community College, and Iowa Western Community College. With your support, this ministry can continue to grow and flourish. For more information about the Evensong event or how you can connect with college ministry in Omaha, please contact Pastor Mike Ostrom at 402-350-5414 or M.Ostrom@NeLCM.com.
